NORTH CAROLINA - SEPTEMBER 2021

So, my best friend moved to North Carolina a year and a half ago.

About five months before Keith and I moved to Missouri.

It was bittersweet at the time.

But now I only look at it as sweet. 😁

I get to go see my friend and hang out at the beach?

What?

Seriously?

What is my life?!!

& it's AMAZING to see her so happy.

I didn't capture much, but I did manage some real gems.

Obviously, the majority of our shenanigans involve good food.

Here was the grub.

She took me out for a birthday dinner at one of our favorite spots, Indochine.

This place is so bomb.

We get the shrimp & pineapple curry every time and then add on something new to try.

I didn't manage to get a photo of the steamed dumplings we started with (we were hungry girls) but they were good. Our favorite being a spicy wasabi pork one. 🤤 OMG.

We added the Vietnamese pork meatballs marinated in lemongrass and onions with a side of shrimp fried rice, steamed broccoli and pickled vegetables as our second meal choice. Delicious!!

Um, what the heck.

Is this food heaven?

Duh!

I think so!

We finished up with our favorite coconut cake.

It is absolutely divine.

It comes with toasted coconut ice cream.

Actually not my favorite, but I'm good for a taste or two.

The next day we headed to a vegan restaurant, Sealevel City Vegan Diner, for some grub.

We ordered a tempeh reuben and a mediterranean falafel salad.

Both were good, but the reuben stood out more.

Actually the pickled cucumbers stood out the most. LOL.

We had to hit up Crumbl Bakery for some cookies.

This weeks flavors we chose were: glazed donut, banana bread, waffle and fruity pebble cereal milk.

I think the fruity pebble one was my favorite.

Hit up a beautiful farmers market and snagged some pickled okra (which I didn't actually get a picture of).

Off to the beach. 🌊

I'll take the black and white house, please! 🖤

Love her like a whole lot.

Did some reading, journaling and hanging with my girl.

My MIL got me this bracelet for my birthday and it perfectly depicted my mood. 🙂
