NOT AN EASY FIX

Updated: Feb 18, 2019

I had a big blogpost drawn up in my head for today, but i’m just too tired to execute it. Nope, make that fatigued.  I have no spoons left.

Today was my appointment with the surgical team for my prolapse.  I really hate that word. Hate it. Anyways, I left feeling a little disappointed that it isn’t going to be an easy fix.  I mean, I get it, that is my life, but just once it would be so awesome to hear the words, “Oh, we can fix that for you.”  But instead, I got the… “This is a very rare occurrence. I don’t feel comfortable doing surgery at this time because there are just too many things contributing to your GI issues.” Which I totally understand. Like I said…this is my life. The team was awesome and I again had another great doctor experience.

While the prolapse is most likely causing pseudo obstructions and causing issues emptying, it is still possible that one or any combination of the other five GI issues are playing a role as well. Yippeeeee!

So what do we de? Exist like I am currently. & participate in their Biofeedback Program. The Biofeedback Program will teach me how to coordinate my muscles in order to evacuate. This is a two week program, but only a couple hours each day. We are going to try and coordinate it at the same time as my Pain Rehabilitation Clinic. If I don’t succeed in the Biofeedback Program we will re-evaluate a surgical fix.

That’s all I have in me today, folks. I am going to go work on recovery.  This girl is pooped. See you tomorrow!
