something to take with you through the new year!

I read something the other day on time that stuck with me.

Something that Keith and I need to lead with coming into the new year.

There are many reasons why time seems to move faster than when we were younger, but this one statement stopped me dead in my tracks.

Making memories.

The more you make, the slower the time goes.

The less you make (by simply living your day to day over and over) the quicker time goes.

Does this mean routine is evil?

Nah, I'm here for a good routine.

But, I am suddenly aware that every vacation we have taken when we have done more than just vegged on the beach seems to have lasted longer than it really did.

For example : we spent 8 days in Mexico this past May. It was lovely and ultra relaxing (sometimes you need just that) and then we went to Arizona in October and jam packed that trip full of memories and firsts. It was a 4 day trip.

& when I look back on those two trips, I feel like our trip to Arizona far surpassed our time in Mexico.

By length of the trip, I mean.

Both were wonderful.

Take a moment and think about this.

Think about the times you created memories with those you love or on your own.

Pull them from your archives.

Is your mind not blown now by how slow those moments seem to feel in your mind?

Think about how long your childhood seems in your eyes.

Think about how many memories and firsts you were creating in those years.

How many new things you were experiencing.

How long those years feel looking back on them.

I feel like this one perception can be of major service to how we continue to choose to live out our lives.

It's time to bio hack your own life.

Make more memories.

Learn new things.

Do things you've always been too scared to do.

Start living more.

Slow down time.

& enjoy your life.

I hope you have an incredible 2022.

Know that everything you want is already within you.

Don't be afraid to go searching for it.

You are the only person who can make it happen.

Introduce yourself to the world.

xoxo
